†  The Sacrament of Baptism for Children

The celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism is a very special and joyful time for your family. Families prepare together for the baptism of infants and toddlers. Parents are encouraged to begin the preparation process before their child is born if possible, but we welcome you at anytime.

Baptism celebrations are usually held on the 4th Sunday of each month at the 11:00 a.m. Mass. The exception is the Lenten season. No baptisms are scheduled during Lent.

For the baptism of infants to children under 7 years of age, parents should be Catholics in good standing and have made St. Peter the Apostle Parish their primary parish community. Children of catechetical age (7 and up) may have other methods of preparing for Baptism through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults adapted for Children.
